Trainee - Marielin - October 2007
I attend the Frater
Aurelio SBO (vocational school) in Curaçao, and I was offered the
opportunity to do my internship at Hassink and Roos in St Maarten from
29 October 2007 till 6 March 2008. During that period I worked together
with Tiffany Hassell and under the supervision of Mr Pieter Heijnen. I
also worked on a separate project with Diana Augustine. The work was
related to my study (Assistant Bookkeeper).
I really enjoyed working at
Hassink and Roos. It was also fun to join the staff in their social
activities. My favourite was the “Cooking Experience” – a workshop at
the Sundial school under the guidance of professional chefs.
My internship was really about working, learning and growing. As I see it, a good internship is a strong foundation for a great career. My experiences during my internship helped to confirm my interest and enthusiasm for my study. My career goals have become more defined.
